Complex Shape 1:  The perimeter of this shape looks complex, but it is really made up of four right-angle triangles touching each face of a square.

Complex Shape 2:  The perimeter of this complex shape could be a parcel of land for sale. Broken down into simple 2-D shapes, it is really just a rectangle with a scalene triangle (broken down into two right triangles) touching the top side of the rectangle and a right triangle touching the bottom side.

Complex Shape 3:  A scalene triangle can be considered a complex 2-D shape because it has no equal sides and no equal angles. This scalene triangle is made of two right-angle triangles.

Complex Shape 4:  Another complex 2-D shape that could represent a parcel of land, this shape is just a rectangle that shares a border with a smaller rectangle, forming a thick "L" shape.

Complex Shape 5:  This complex shape is made from a square with an equilateral triangle touching one side and a right-angle triangle touching the opposite side.

Complex Shape 6:  This complex shape is made from a square with two equilateral triangles touching opposite sides of the square.

Complex Shape 7:  This complex shape is a trapezoid touching a square. The trapezoid can be broken down into two right-angle triangles touching another rectangle on its opposite sides.

Complex Shape 8:  This complex image is made up of an equilateral triangle sharing a side with a right-angle triangle.
